Arash Rounaghi - President, Board Member
Arash Rounaghi has been coaching youth sports for over 18 years, working with athletes across multiple sports and age groups with an emphasis on teamwork, confidence, and personal growth. He served as Director of NJB Laguna Beach from 2017 to 2023, helping build a program focused on both skill and character development.
A husband and father of five, Arash brings a strong family-first perspective to his coaching and community involvement. Alongside his wife, he is passionate about creating positive environments where kids can learn, grow, and gain the life lessons that sports provide - both on and off the field.
Chris Boyd - Treasurer, Founder, Board Member
Chris oversees the Club’s financial records and ensures accurate reporting and compliance. Over the years, he has volunteered extensively as a Soccer Dad with AYSO, Pateadores Soccer Club, Laguna Beach High School, and now Laguna Beach Football Club.
Chris holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from McDaniel College and brings more than 30 years of professional experience in strategic sourcing, tactical purchasing, project management, contract negotiation, and spend analytics supporting international and regional organizations across the IT, aerospace, education, and medical supply sectors.
Meagan Hurst - Secretary, Board Member
Meagan is an Orange County native with deep roots in Laguna Beach. Meagan grew up playing soccer on the founding Blues team (founded by her father) and later for Santa Margarita Catholic High School. She has a bachelor's degree in Anthropology as well as a master's degree in Architecture, both from UCLA. Since graduating, Meagan has worked at top Orange County Interior Design firms specializing in restaurant and hotel projects. She currently runs her own Interior Design business and remains heavily committed to the success of youth sports in Laguna Beach. She has been the assistant coach for 2 LBFC girl’s teams, is a returning Booster Rep for the LBHS Football program, and has been a longtime community volunteer throughout a wide range of local sports.
Max Woodruff - Director of Coaching, Board Advisor
Max is in charge of communication, recruitment and hiring of coaches, team formation, team schedules and training for Laguna Beach FC teams. In addition to coaching for LBFC, he is the head coach for Laguna Beach High School Girls Varsity soccer team. Max played for the Manchester City Academy team and professionally for Bury FC. He joined LBFC in our first year and has been pivotal to the club’s success and growth. Max has a Master’s Degree in Leadership in Sport in addition to youth club coaching experience in the US and the UK.
Lucie Martlin - Director of Operations, Founder, Board Advisor
Lucie oversees daily operations, player registration, and event management for LBFC. She brings a strong background in youth and high school athletics, having served as a parent volunteer for Pacific Soccer Club and Pateadores Soccer Club, as well as Laguna Beach High School Boys Soccer as Booster Rep. She has held leadership roles in education and coached High School Girls Cross-Country and Track & Field, reflecting her long-standing commitment to student development and competitive sports.
